Compounding is achieved through an essential triad relationship of patient, physician, and pharmacist. The physician prescribes a medication and the pharmacist compounds it through consultation with the doctor and the patient to customize the order with the patient's needs. This ensures patient compliance by making the compound at a specified strength in a specified dosage form, eliminating allergy causing ingredients and adding flavors and tastes.
You can fill a compounding prescription by faxing it to us, calling and providing us with the physician's phone number, or asking the physician's office to call us.
A compounding prescription involves consultation among the triad and customization and may require more time than a conventional prescription especially when filled the first time.
